I absolutely adore Marys. There are strict rules at this bar (do not knock on the door. Haley will see you in the window and let you in. Do not approach the bar, wait to be approached by the server. Ask before moving tables or sitting at the bar.) The rules may seem excessive, however, once you get to know Haley it will make sense to you that she sets the boundaries she needs to maintain the spot as the singular space it is while keeping herself safe and comfortable. Haley is an angel sent from above, if you get the pleasure of talking to her you will see how incredibly warm and special she is. There is a nice variety of drinks and she plays excellent music. The food looked and smelled incredible though I didn’t get any having I arrived around midnight. Mary’s was a highlight of my visit to Vancouver. I’d recommend it to anybody looking to spend time in a space like no other with strikingly genuine, kind people.

Step into another world. Hail Mary's not only offers carefully executed cocktails and food, it also offers a thoughtful, kitschy, religious iconography decor, it's like walking into a Fellini set. There's few bars in town where you can be served by the person who curated the room you're sitting in and that's what makes Hail Mary's even more special. Every element in the decor has been carefully collected throughout the years, the fascination behind all of it is unapologetic and honest. Try the Korean chicken Lettuce wraps and the panko deep fried avocado. Do not settle for a single patty burger, get the extra patty and throw some cheese on it. The mac&cheese could use some improvement but the atmosphere and cocktails make it hard to be disappointed. Finally this corner of Mount Pleasant gets a hang out spot that offers some redemption, and probably the most Instagram worthy bathrooms. Btw, no visit to HM is complete without a visit to the confessional.

Ignore all other reviews, the staff run a tight ship and I respect it. Food is amazing (particularly the nachos), cocktails are great and the vibe and aesthetic are the best in town. Easily in the top 5 bars in Vancouver

It's a must try, when visiting this city or you live here! This place is one of our highlights of our Vancouver trip. Have already sent pictures of it to my relative that lives here to check it out. It's a "Christian" themed bar. That had local craft beer and excellent cocktails. The "Envy" cocktail that was recommended was spectacular. As for the beer they had 2 that I've never heard of. They only opened a month ago and are on the ball. Located literally infront of a bus stop, not sure which as I am only a simple tourist in this town.

Randomly chose to visit Hail Mary’s on an in-town adventure night with my partner - and we both had a very fun time. The in-house made chips were very tasty, and the drinks we had were absolutely wonderful. By coincidence, we had stumbled in on Bingo Night and the atmosphere was amazing throughout. Highly recommend popping in for a drink - or chip or two - if you find yourself near by!
